Theresa L. Allocca, MA, CAS, LPC , is a retired school counselor who spent 23 years working with children and families through some of life's most difficult challenges. Raised in a rural Maine town, she brings both clinical expertise and deep personal experience to the stories she tells.

Like her main character, she finds her best thinking on a long bike tour, behind a sewing machine, or out on the water in a kayak.
